Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled

SOC L3 Engineer

to join our team supporting large BFSI customers for Cisco. The ideal candidate will be an SME on

Palo Alto, Zscaler, Akamai WAF, and SRX Firewalls

, with expertise in

packet flow, product architecture, and escalation handling

. The role requires hands-on troubleshooting, advanced issue resolution, and leadership during maintenance and incident response.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Support & Incident Handling

  • Act as SME and escalation point for Palo Alto, Zscaler, Akamai WAF, SRX Firewall.
  • Provide remote & onsite support to resolve customer issues promptly.
  • Lead shift operations and guide junior SOC engineers.
  • Shorten MTTR by leveraging product expertise and customer network knowledge.

Maintenance Window Leadership

  • Plan and execute maintenance windows with clients and operators.
  • Prepare, validate, and review MOPs (Method of Procedures), including execution steps, fallback plans, and validation checks.
  • Provide technical oversight during change implementation to minimize service disruptions.
  • Ensure governance and adherence to processes for all planned activities.

Problem Management & RCA

  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for incidents at both infrastructure and application layers.
  • Document detailed technical reports with root cause, corrective actions, and preventive measures.
  • Recreate issues with TAC teams and drive them to resolution.

Leadership & SME Role

  • Act as shift lead, managing escalations, prioritization, and task allocation.
  • Provide mentoring and technical guidance to L1/L2 SOC engineers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and Cisco leadership during critical business-impacting events.

Required Skills & Expertise

  • 10+ years of experience in SOC operations (L3 level).
  • Deep expertise in:
    • Palo Alto Firewalls
    • Zscaler Cloud Security
    • Akamai WAF
    • Juniper SRX Firewall
  • Strong understanding of network & security architecture, packet flow, and threat analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting of enterprise-grade security solutions.
  • Ability to work under pressure and lead critical incident management.
  • Strong communication skills for customer-facing escalations and technical reporting.

Work Schedule

  • Onsite role at Navi Mumbai.
  • Rotational Shifts – 24/7 SOC coverage.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours during critical events or maintenance windows.
