Accountabilities
Activities
Planning & Operations
a. Responsibility for the production in Sinter and the quality of the product (sinter).
b. Identification of and ensuring availability of resources (material, manpower, utilities, services) required for production. This also includes up-gradation of Plant and process.
c. Review requirements of resources (inputs and operational spares).
d. Responsibility to approve the Work instructions and Issue the Departmental procedures and compliance to the same in the shop. Ensure quality system in shop floor.
e. Appraisal of performance and defining training needs.
f. Responsible for ensuring that training related to quality, environment, and health and safety are being imparted in the Department.
g. Communicating the IMS Policy to all staff and their contribution to the IMS Policy.
h. Monitoring the progress of IMPs.
i. Responsible to initiate implementation of PSM.
Infrastructure Support
a. Co-ordination with Sinter technical / maintenance team for operations support.
b. Co-ordination with DCM, MH and BRM team for raw material support.
c. Co-ordination with HR, Admin and other departments for infrastructure support related to blast furnace operation.
Safety & Environment Orientation
a. To enforce one culture safety.
b. To ensure and enforce compliance of all safety procedures.
c. To arrange for regular safety trainings
d. To inculcate and ensure safety awareness in all the subordinates and associates.
e. To encourage all about safety (both personal and equipment s) through rewards.
Learning/Growth
a. Ensure best training practices at Sinter plant for experienced and new joiners.
b. Ensure learning schedules are effectively followed and targets are achieved.
c. Ensure growth of all individuals with knowledge specific trainings through experienced or specialized learning programmers.
To ensure effectiveness of the Plant Operations, including production and process parameters. Also ensuring delegation of tasks effectively within the team so that all employees strive to meet the ABP Targets and standards set forth by the company keeping in mind Safety, Quality, Cost, Efficiency and Housekeeping.
a. Maintaining Sinter Quality as per SLA with BF
b. Quality of Raw materials
c. Consumption of secondary waste materials without affecting sinter quality
d. Preparation of ABP
e. Cost Drivers
f. IMS
g. Evolution of new raw materials for Sinter Plant
h. Energy and CO2 Emission.
