The Search Engine Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing our clients’ SEM/CRO initiatives to increase brand awareness, drive traffic, and generate qualified pipeline. Our work spans multiple platforms, including Google, Microsoft, and paid social channels. We take pride in being a lean, innovative, and passionate team.

The Role
You’ll own search engine marketing for B2B clients - planning, launching, and scaling ROI-positive programs across Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising. Expect full-funnel lead gen with tight attribution, rigorous testing, and clear reporting to pipeline and revenue. Paid social experience is a plus; but this role is primarily SEM. As the owner of one of the most important performance marketing channels, you'll have a significant impact on the client's business growth. This role involves both daily campaign management and long-term strategic planning and forecasting. As the channel expert, you will be the go-to person for all paid search matters.

Initially in-office for 1–2 months in Bangalore or Ahmedabad, hours 9 AM–5 PM local time. Afterwards, fully remote, primarily working on IST. Two syncs per week with the lead in the US time zone are required; other communication will be handled asynchronously via Discord.

What you’ll do

  • Understand clients' businesses, industries, and objectives, and strategically run ROI-driven Search Engine Marketing campaigns on Google and Microsoft Ads.
  • Oversee media campaigns, including paid search and display forecasting, strategy, execution, optimization, and measurement.
  • Analyze performance data and provide relevant insights and action plans around keywords, landing pages, ad copy, audiences, bidding algorithms, competition and more.
  • Relentlessly test new segments, strategies, and messaging, as well as working with the web team to coordinate tests for on-site optimizations.
  • Report key learnings and major takeaways to internal and external stakeholders.

Who you are

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in marketing, advertising, economics, or analytics
  • 4-5 years of B2B SEM experience required, knowledge of paid social platforms a plus
  • Hands-on experience executing and optimizing direct response campaigns through keyword footprint, bidding, experience testing, and targeting.
  • Experience with running A/B split tests, calculating significance, tracking results, summarizing findings, and iterating on new ideas.
  • Prior team lead experience not necessary but a Plus.
  • Exhibits accountability for the measurable success of programs.
  • Passion for technology, marketing and its influence on consumer behavior.
  • Strong communication, analytical skills and a proven ability to communicate with senior management.
  • Must be detail-oriented, very organized, a multi-tasker and able to work well under pressure.
  • Stays up to date on new changes in the industry and actively reads several blogs.
  • Professional, dependable, solid work ethic.
  • Self-motivated.

What we offer

  • Competitive base salary: ₹75,000 – ₹1,25,000 per month, depending on experience
