About The Role
We’re looking for a
Senior Software Engineer (SDE III)
with strong expertise in
Node.js
, distributed systems, and cloud-native architecture. You’ll design and build scalable backend services that power mission-critical integrations, leveraging
Kafka
,
Docker
, and
Kubernetes
to ensure reliability, performance, and observability at scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and maintain large-scale backend systems using Node.js (TypeScript/JavaScript).
- Design and implement microservices deployed via Docker and orchestrated on Kubernetes (GKE/EKS).
- Develop asynchronous, event-driven systems using Apache Kafka for data streaming and inter-service communication.
- Work on scalable APIs, webhooks, and data synchronization across multiple third-party platforms.
- Mentor engineers, conduct design and code reviews, and establish best practices for maintainable and secure services.
- Collaborate closely with product, devops, and platform teams to drive technical roadmaps and deliver high-impact features.
- Monitor system health, optimize performance, and participate in incident response and root-cause analysis.
Technical Skills
- Core: Node.js, TypeScript/JavaScript, Express.js/NestJS.
- Containers & Cloud: Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, GCP/AWS.
- Messaging & Data Pipelines: Apache Kafka, Redis, RabbitMQ (bonus).
- Storage: MongoDB, PostgreSQL, ClickHouse (bonus).
- CI/CD: GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, or equivalent pipelines.
- Monitoring: Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, OpenTelemetry.
- Version control: Git (GitHub/GitLab).
Qualifications
- 5–8 years of professional experience building backend systems at scale.
- Deep understanding of system design, scalability, fault tolerance, and distributed systems.
- Experience building high-availability microservices and deploying on container orchestration platforms.
- Prior experience mentoring engineers and driving technical excellence.
- Strong debugging, profiling, and performance optimization skills.
Nice to Have
- Exposure to Temporal.io, gRPC, or Event Sourcing architectures.
- Experience with multi-tenant SaaS platforms or integration platforms (iPaaS).
- Familiarity with ClickHouse or real-time analytics systems.
Soft Skills
- Strong ownership and ability to lead initiatives end-to-end.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, collaborative environments.
