SDE 2 React Native

About the Role :

• We're looking for a strong React Native Engineer (SDE 2) to join our Consumer App team at

Licious.

• You'll play a key role in shaping and delivering high-impact features for millions of users who

interact with Licious every day.

• The role demands deep technical expertise, strong problem-solving ability and a keen focus on building performant, scalable and maintainable mobile applications.
• As part of this team, you’ll work closely with design, product, backend and QA to create best-in class app experiences that drive user delight and business impact.

What You’ll Do :

• Take end-to-end ownership of features — from technical design and implementation to

release and post-launch monitoring.

• Build and maintain high-performance React Native screens and modules with seamless

cross-platform behavior across iOS and Android.

• Optimize app startup time, navigation and runtime performance through profiling and

refactoring.

• Collaborate with backend and design teams to deliver robust, scalable and user-friendly

interfaces.

• Implement pixel-perfect and accessible UI that matches design specifications across different devices and resolutions.
• Participate actively in code reviews, architecture discussions and performance audits.
• Lead efforts to modernize existing codebases — migrating to TypeScript and modularizing

legacy components.

• Ensure observability and stability through effective monitoring, crash reporting and analytics

instrumentation.

• Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a strong engineering culture and high technical

bar.

What We’re Looking For :

• 4–6 years of professional experience in front-end or mobile development, with 3+ years in

React Native (TypeScript preferred).

• Solid understanding of React Hooks, Context API, Redux Toolkit / Zustand and modern state management practices.
• Proficiency in JavaScript / TypeScript, asynchronous programming and optimizing render

performance.

• Experience working with React Navigation, deep linking and complex navigation stacks.
• Familiarity with native module integration, debugging in Android Studio and Xcode and bridging techniques.
• Hands-on experience with Hermes, Reanimated and performance tuning on both platforms.
• Good understanding of RESTful API integration, caching and data persistence strategies.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, CodePush and release management processes.
• Strong attention to detail, product thinking and ownership mindset — with the ability to work
• independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with Flipper Android Profiler or Xcode Instruments for debugging and

performance profiling.

Bonus Skills :

Experience working with native Android (Kotlin) or iOS (Swift) modules.

Exposure to Server-Driven UI (SDUI) or modular monorepo architecture.

Contributions to shared component libraries or design systems.
