SCADA Automation Engineer

Responsibilities

Design, develop, configure, and maintain SCADA systems for various projects in line with project specifications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement SCADA architectures and solutions.
Perform system upgrades, modifications, and enhancements to ensure efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to SCADA systems to ensure seamless operations.
Conduct system performance tests, quality assurance checks, and compliance validation.
Support the integration of PLCs, HMIs, and communication systems with SCADA platforms.
Provide technical support and training to internal teams and clients.

Requirements

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Instrumentation, or a related field.
1–3 years of hands-on experience in SCADA system development, configuration, and maintenance.

Technical Skills

Proficiency in SCADA software (e.g., Wonderware, Ignition, WinCC, GE iFIX, or equivalent).
Strong knowledge of PLC programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider, etc.).
Experience in HMI development and design.
Understanding of networking protocols, industrial communication systems, and data acquisition methods (e.g., Modbus, OPC, DNP3, MQTT)
Familiarity with industry-specific standards and regulatory requirements (Oil & Gas, Mining, Pharmaceuticals, etc.)
Exposure to Agile methodologies or project management practices.

Non-Technical Skills

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to adapt quickly and learn emerging technologies.
Self-motivated with a strong passion for quality and excellence.
Customer-oriented and enjoys direct client interaction.
