Job Purpose

Senior SAP Material Management (MM) Functional Consultant

Key Responsibilities

1. Solution Design & Implementation

• Gather and analyze business requirements, translating them into functional SAP MM solutions.
• Lead SAP MM module configuration and ensure integration with other SAP modules.
• Develop detailed functional specifications for WRICEF objects (Reports, Enhancements, Interfaces, Conversions, Forms).

2. System Management & Support

• Ensure system availability and reliability, providing Level 1 & Level 2 incident support.
• Reduce recurring issues by delivering one-time solutions and minimizing support tickets.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and propose technical solutions for complex MM-related issues.

3. Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement

• Drive automation initiatives and streamline business processes using SAP MM functionalities.
• Monitor market trends and competitor solutions to ensure the system remains up-to-date.
• Implement best practices for data stewardship, data quality, and lifecycle management.

4. Vendor & Stakeholder Management

• Work closely with business users, functional consultants, ABAP developers, and IT vendors (SAP, Tech Mahindra, Incture, Zycus).
• Ensure successful project delivery as per EPMO-defined plans and SLAs.
• Manage integration of SAP MM with third-party applications and legacy systems.

5. Testing & Documentation

• Prepare and maintain high-quality functional specifications and testing documents.
• Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Ensure proper documentation and traceability of all changes in SAP MM.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• 80% of Change Requests (CRs) delivered

  as per planned go-live date.

• 96% SLA compliance for L1 & L2 incidents.

• Reduction of recurring issues by 35-40%

  through effective problem management.

• Successful delivery of IT projects

  as per the defined project plan.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education:

  Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Business, or related discipline).

• Experience:

• 8+ years

  of SAP MM functional experience.

• 3+ years

  of ABAP/Techno-Functional experience in MM.

• 5+ full-cycle SAP implementations.

• Certifications:

  SAP MM Consultant Certification (Preferred).

Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills

• Strong expertise in SAP MM, including procurement, inventory management, and logistics.
• Experience in

  ABAP debugging, IDocs, LSMW, SmartForms, Proxies, and Interfaces.

• Ability to configure and integrate SAP MM with FI, SD, and PP modules.
• Proficiency in writing

  functional specs for WRICEF objects.
