Job Description

Primary title: SAP S/4HANA FICO Consultant
Role & Responsibilities

Lead functional design and configuration for SAP FI and SAP CO modules during blueprint, realization, and deployment phases for S/4HANA implementations.
Conduct workshops with finance stakeholders to capture requirements, design end-to-end processes, and translate them into functional specifications and test scenarios.
Drive data migration activities using LSMW / Migration Cockpit, prepare mapping documents, and validate migrated master and transactional data.
Develop and execute unit, integration, and UAT test plans; coordinate cutover, go-live activities, and provide hyper-care support post-go-live.
Ensure integration of FI/CO with MM, SD, and other modules; collaborate with ABAP/technical teams to deliver enhancements, BADI/BAPI specifications, and interfaces.
Implement India localization requirements (GST, tax configuration, statutory reporting) and optimize month-end/period-end closing processes for performance and compliance.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

Proven hands-on experience configuring SAP FI and SAP CO in S/4HANA projects.
Expertise in General Ledger (New GL), FI-AP, FI-AR, and Asset Accounting (FI-AA).
Experience with data migration tools: LSMW or SAP S/4HANA Migration Cockpit.
Strong knowledge of India statutory compliance including GST and tax reporting.
Familiarity with SAP Activate methodology and implementation lifecycle (Blueprint → Realize → Deploy).
Ability to author functional specifications, conduct integration testing, and coordinate cutover activities.

Preferred

Experience on full-lifecycle S/4HANA Finance conversions or Greenfield implementations.
Exposure to Fiori apps for finance and automation of finance processes.
Prior consulting or client-facing delivery experience in large ERP programs.
