SAP EWM Functional Consultant

SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM)

Key Responsibilities

• Consultation & Requirement Gathering
• Engage with stakeholders and business users to understand warehouse processes and operational requirements.
• Analyze business needs and translate them into detailed functional specifications.
• Provide expert guidance on SAP EWM capabilities, best practices, and solution options.
• System Configuration
• Configure SAP EWM to support warehouse processes including warehouse structure, goods movement, inbound and outbound operations, inventory management, and handling unit management.
• Set up and manage EWM master data such as storage types, storage sections, and bins.
• Configure integration points with Warehouse Management (WM) and Transportation Management (TM).
• Implementation & Integration
• Lead or support SAP EWM implementation projects from design to go-live and stabilization.
• Integrate SAP EWM with modules like MM, SD, PP, and WM, as well as third-party logistics systems (e.g., TMS, RFID, automation systems).
• Conduct system testing, validation, and quality assurance to ensure seamless system behavior and process alignment.
• End User Training & Support
• Deliver end-user training, documentation, and workshops on EWM functionality and process changes.
• Provide post-go-live support, troubleshoot system issues, and resolve operational challenges.
• Ensure knowledge transfer and support ongoing system enhancements.
• Process Optimization
• Analyze existing warehouse processes and identify improvement opportunities.
• Optimize warehouse workflows using SAP EWM functionalities like wave management, task interleaving, and automation tools.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse efficiency and accuracy.

Experience Required

• 4–6 years of experience as a Functional Consultant in SAP EWM or SAP WM.
• Hands-on experience in end-to-end SAP EWM implementations.
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations including inbound/outbound processes, inventory management, and optimization strategies.
• Good experience integrating EWM with SAP MM, SD, PP, and WM modules.
  

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree (required)
