Job Description

The ideal candidate for this role is a proven Sales leader with hands-on experience in setting up and managing a direct-to-consumer consultative sales team. You have successfully managed a team consisting of Sales Managers and Inside Sales executives, with a minimum team size of 30. You are now seeking to advance your career in a fast-paced and demanding market environment. You excel in working with high ticket size products that require focused nurturing over a period of time while also being able to create a sense of urgency for the end consumer to make quick decisions. Your background includes thriving in an extremely competitive sales environment, consistently performing in the top 10 percentile of your team. As a highly data-driven individual, you have a successful track record of building and scaling up sales processes. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team of 10-15 Admissions Counsellors and 1-2 Team Leaders. Your key duties will include providing strategic leadership to achieve monthly and quarterly enrollment, revenue, and collection targets. You will oversee the entire sales closing life cycle for leads assigned to your team, encompassing phone calls, product demonstrations, sales closing, and post-sales relationship management. Additionally, you will be tasked with monitoring the Sales Pipeline for your team, ensuring the quality of the sales funnel, and overseeing the training provided to Admissions Counsellors on learner profiling, program knowledge, and sales closure techniques. Your role will also involve managing and nurturing sales talent to minimize attrition, setting performance standards based on key metrics, and monitoring the team's overall performance against set goals. You will play a crucial part in establishing the uniqueness and effectiveness of upGrad's online learning model. The ideal candidate for this position will possess outstanding English communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as exceptional interpersonal abilities. You should have at least 3 years of sales experience in a B2C environment, with a preference for education sales experience. Experience in managing an Inside Sales team will be advantageous. A solution-oriented mindset, effective problem-solving skills, strong people orientation, and the ability to build trust with internal and external stakeholders are essential qualities for this role. We are looking for individuals who are great listeners, patient, empathetic, and have a sales-oriented mindset to effectively communicate upGrad's offerings to prospective learners and achieve revenue targets. A passion for delivering exceptional customer service, coupled with basic proficiency in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel), is preferable for this role.,
