Job Description: Sales Manager (International/Outbound Travel Agency)

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Sales Strategy & Business Development:

    • Develop and implement sales strategies to expand our client base and increase revenue for outbound travel packages.
    • Build and nurture relationships with clients, travel agents, and other stakeholders.
    • Identify new market opportunities and tailor sales pitches to meet diverse customer needs.
  2. Client Consultation & Customization:

    • Provide expert consultation on international travel packages, ensuring offerings align with client preferences, budgets, and timelines.
    • Customize travel itineraries, keeping in mind the unique needs of each client while offering professional advice on destinations, flights, accommodation, and tours.
  3. Lead Generation & Conversion:

    • Actively generate leads through both inbound inquiries and outbound prospecting.
    • Convert leads into clients by effectively presenting travel packages and closing sales.
  4. Team Collaboration & Training:

    • Work closely with internal teams, including operations and customer service, to ensure seamless booking and smooth execution of travel packages.
    • Provide guidance and training to junior sales staff, if required, and assist with performance evaluations.
  5. Client Relationship Management:

    • Maintain long-term relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business and referrals.
    • Handle post-sales queries and complaints, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  6. Reporting & Analysis:

    • Monitor and report on sales performance against targets.
    • Analyze sales data and trends to continuously improve sales strategies and operations.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience:

    5 to 8 years of proven sales experience in the travel industry, with a focus on international or outbound travel.
  • Skills:

    • Strong knowledge of international travel destinations, airline booking systems, and global travel trends.
    • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to handle multiple client accounts and manage projects independently.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet sales targets.
  • Education:

    A Bachelors degree in Hospitality, Travel & Tourism, or related fields.
  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in CRM software, MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
    • Familiarity with travel industry booking platforms and tools is a plus.
  • Additional Requirements:

    • Availability to attend to clients' needs outside regular working hours, especially on calls and emails.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
