Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Sales Manager based in Panchla, Howrah, West Bengal. The Sales Manager is responsible for achieving sales targets, developing and maintaining strong client relationships, and identifying new business opportunities. Key responsibilities include devising sales strategies, leading a sales team, conducting market analysis, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure client satisfaction and business growth.


Revenue & Growth

  • Own monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets
  • Drive new customer acquisition across:
  • Home Broadband (FTTH)
  • SME & Business Fiber
  • Enterprise Leased Lines
  • Increase ARPU through plan upgrades and value-added services


Sales Strategy & Execution

  • Define area-wise and segment-wise sales strategy
  • Identify high-potential societies, business zones, and enterprise clusters
  • Design promotional offers in coordination with management
  • Ensure sales focus on profitable and serviceable customers


Team Building & Leadership

  • Hire, train, and manage Area Sales Executives and Field Sales Executives
  • Set clear targets, KPIs, and daily activity benchmarks
  • Conduct regular sales reviews and performance evaluations
  • Build a disciplined, result-oriented sales culture


Enterprise & Bulk Sales

  • Personally handle high-value and bulk deals
  • Coordinate feasibility surveys with technical teams
  • Lead pricing negotiations, proposals, and closures
  • Ensure smooth handover from sales to provisioning


Channel & Partnership Development

  • Develop local sales channels and referral partners
  • Build relationships with RWAs, builders, and corporate decision-makers
  • Create incentive structures for channel partners


Sales Operations & Coordination

  • Implement and maintain structured sales processes
  • Ensure proper documentation, KYC, and billing activation
  • Act as a bridge between sales, technical, and operations teams
  • Prevent over-commitment and manage customer expectations


Reporting & Market Intelligence

  • Maintain accurate sales pipeline and forecasting
  • Submit weekly and monthly performance reports
  • Track competitor pricing and market trends
  • Provide feedback for plan and service improvements


Qualifications

  • Proven experience in Sales Strategies, Territory Management, and Business Development
  • 3 to 5 years of sales experience in ISP / Broadband / Telecom
  • Strong leadership, Team Management, and Client Relationship Management skills
  • Proficiency in Market Research, Competitive Analysis, and Forecasting
  • Excellent Communication, Negotiation, and Presentation skills
  • Understanding of the telecommunication industry and related products/services
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field; advanced degrees are advantageous
  • Relevant certifications in Sales or Telecommunication fields are a plus
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced and target-driven environment
  • Proven experience in B2B, SME, and enterprise connectivity sales
  • Hands-on experience managing field sales teams
  • Good understanding of FTTH, GPON, leased lines, and feasibility processes
  • Local market knowledge preferred
  • Own 2 wheeler preferred
  • This is a hands-on role requiring active field sales, direct customer acquisition, and gradual team building.
