Position Description:
A Sales Manager (Agency) is primarily responsible for managingrelationships specifically for Agency channel partners and driving businessthrough the same

Scope of work:
  • Achieve monthly topline targets
  • Ensure diversification of portfolio into the motor,non-motor, health products
  • Responsible for recruitment of Agents throughvarious sources to ensure achievement of business targets
  • Responsible for Achieving overall GWP (GrossWritten Premium)
  • Responsible for sustainable Profitability
  • Responsible to maintain COR at budgeted levels
  • Combined Ratio- Minimizing Loss & Cost ofAcquisition
  • Ensure month on month activation of agents as pertargets set.
  • Coordinating with other departments such as U/W,Claims, & Operations
  • Responsible to maintain & enhance servicelevels provided to the clients thus ensuring sustenance of the existingbusiness. This would be done through follow ups, coordination with otherstakeholders for approvals, pay-outs etc. & other administrative activitiesfor seamless working.
  • Ensuring IRDAI compliance regarding licensing &commission payments to Agents.
  • Support/guide the Agents in all activities relatedpolicy services
  • Train Agents/Channel partners on products, processand USPs of Company
  • Identify the area of improvement & enhancingbusiness opportunity
  • Responsible for explorations & identificationof new business avenues by way of cold calling, generation of referrals orbusiness leads & networking through agents.
  • Ensure month on month activation of agents as pertargets set
  • Managing daily reports and MIS pertaining to thebranch
  • Monitoring daily receipts, payment and other banktransactions
  • Policy issuance / Cancellation / endorsement
  • Resolve the discrepancies raised by the Underwriterand issue policies at branch level.
  • Analysing and resolving the rejections of policyrelated issues
  • Handling reconciliation
  • Closely monitoring open receipts and recoveries andclosing them on time
  • Handle other operationalwork
Professional Experience: 2-6 years; GI experience in Agency

Technology Known: Excel
