Underwriting Apprentice

Job Description

Key Responsibilities: Assist in evaluating insurance applications and determining coverage eligibility based on medical information and risk assessment. Review and analyze medical records, reports, and other relevant documents to assess risk. Collaborate with senior underwriters to develop and implement underwriting guidelines and policies. Communicate with healthcare providers and applicants to gather additional information as needed. Maintain accurate records and documentation of underwriting decisions and processes. Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance underwriting skills and knowledge. Support the underwriting team in various administrative tasks and projects. Requirements: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Basic understanding of underwriting principles and the insurance industry. Medical background with knowledge of medical terminology and conditions. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. A degree in Medicine, Nursing, or a related field is preferred. Prior experience in underwriting or a related field is a plus. Education Qualifications: BAMS, BHMS, BDS, B.Sc Nursing, B.Pharma, M.Pharma Duration : 6 months (Can be converted into full-time based on performance post completion of 6 months) Location : Bangalore
