SolarSquare wants to be the Home-Energy brand of future India. We help homes switch to rooftop solar and move away from traditional coal electricity. We are a fullstack D2C residential solar brand - designing, installing, maintaining (after-sales) and financing solar systems for home-owners across India.

Team Goal

As the Director of Sales, you will spearhead SolarSquares national sales strategy. You will define the blueprint for Solar Energy adoption in the B2C space, build and lead a high-performing sales organization across multiple regions, and ensure aggressive yet sustainable growth.

You are a seasoned leader with proven success in scaling sales teams in highgrowth environments. You combine strategic thinking with strong execution, and you thrive in building and motivating large, diverse teams to consistently deliver revenue and customer delight.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Sales Leadership: Build and lead a 200+ member sales organization, including multiple Asst. Directors of Sales, Regional Managers, and Solar Consultants.

  • Strategy & GTM: Define and execute SolarSquare’s national Go-To-Market strategy including customer segmentation, competition benchmarking, and expansion planning.

  • P&L Ownership: Drive sales P&L responsibility, ensuring revenue targets, margins, and cost efficiencies are achieved.

  • Scaling & Expansion: Identify and execute growth opportunities in new cities and regions to accelerate market leadership.

  • Team Development: Recruit, coach, and mentor senior sales leaders (ADOS/Regional Managers), instill a high-performance culture, and ensure structured training & development for teams.

  • Customer-Centric Growth: Champion customer delight by embedding a customerfirst mindset in every sales interaction.

  • Data-Driven Management: Use data analytics to track performance, manage the sales funnel, and provide insights for decision-making.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Marketing, Product, Operations, and Finance to align business objectives and deliver a seamless customer experience.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • MBA or equivalent from a top institution.
  • 8–12+ years of progressive experience in B2C Sales & Strategy, ideally in highgrowth or consumer-tech companies.
  • Proven success in scaling and leading large sales teams (100+ members, preferably pan-India exposure).
  • Deep understanding of GTM strategy, channel expansion, and P&L management.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous, and high-growth environments.
