Role OverviewAs a Senior Career Counselor (Sales), you will play a pivotal role in guiding prospective learnersranging from emerging managers to seasoned executives—toward the most suitable upskilling, executive education, or international study-abroad pathway programs. These offerings emphasize forward-looking disciplines such as Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, and specialized tracks in Strategy, Finance, Marketing, and Supply Chain—all critical for staying relevant in today’s fast-paced environment. Through a consultative, data-driven approach, you will pinpoint each candidate’s professional objectives and recommend high-impact educational solutions from upGrad, TimesPro, and our Study Abroad Pathway collaborations. In doing so, you will utilize various communication channels—including phone, email, WhatsApp, text messages, and virtual sessions (Google Meet)—to build rapport, manage an advanced admissions pipeline, and consistently surpass revenue targets. You will also mentor junior counselors, thus bolstering the entire admissions operation.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Lead Generation & ProspectingDevelop and maintain a steady pipeline of mid-career and senior-level professionals through social media outreach (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram), specialized forums, and targeted campaigns.Collaborate with Marketing to identify and engage new market segments—especially those interested in AI, Generative AI, Automation, and upskilling in Strategy, Finance, Marketing, and Supply Chain—to enhance lead quality and conversion.Advanced Consultative Counseling & SalesConduct detailed assessments of each candidate’s career trajectory, skill gaps, and aspirations, recommending programs such as Executive MBAs, advanced Data Science or AI tracks, Finance certifications, Supply Chain Management credentials, or blended online/on-campus study-abroad programs (in partnership with institutions like Golden Gate University).Apply sophisticated negotiation, storytelling, and persuasive methodologies to underscore the ROI of upskilling in machine learning, automation, generative AI, and specialized business verticals (Strategy, Finance, Marketing, Supply Chain), highlighting the ways these credentials safeguard employability and foster substantial growth potential.Uphold a structured follow-up process—via calls, virtual sessions, text, or email—to establish trust and facilitate punctual enrollment decisions.Pipeline, Revenue & Team LeadershipConsistently reach or exceed monthly and quarterly enrollment and revenue benchmarks, thereby setting a high-performance standard for the admissions team.Mentor junior counselors in addressing complex inquiries, such as international admissions, advanced management roles, or the specifics of part-time versus full-time study pathways.Keep meticulous records in the CRM generating data-driven reports on pipeline progress, conversion metrics, and revenue forecasts.Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder ManagementPartner with Marketing to refine lead-generation initiatives and keep them aligned with real-time feedback—particularly concerning AI, Data Science, and key business domains (Strategy, Finance, Marketing, Supply Chain), as well as study-abroad preferences.Work closely with Operations and Support to streamline onboarding, resolve escalated concerns, and consistently deliver an exceptional admissions journey.Present emerging trends in AI, Data Science, Automation, global education, and competitive advantages to senior leadership, advising on enhancements to existing offerings when needed.Market Intelligence & Adaptive StrategyStay current on developments in executive education, leadership programs, machine learning, generative AI, international university partnerships, and specialized tracks (Strategy, Finance, Marketing, Supply Chain) aimed at mid- to senior-level professionals.Track market demand, competitor strategies, and technology shifts, integrating insights into admissions tactics to maintain a competitive edge.Contribute to VXU Global’s broader admissions framework by leveraging expertise in both domestic and global learning pathways, with a focus on emerging tech and high-value business specialties.Qualifications & RequirementsEducation & Experience4–8 years of demonstrated success in EdTech/upskilling sales, admissions counseling, or business development, especially for high-value programs (e.g., Executive MBAs, advanced tech certifications, overseas university degrees).Familiarity with upGrad, TimesPro, TalentSprint, Intellipaat, Great Learning, Simplilearn, Emeritus, Coursera, Edureka, Scaler, Imarticus, Talentedge, NIIT, or similar entities is strongly preferred.Sales & Leadership CompetenciesProven track record of exceeding enrollment and revenue targets in an on-site capacity.Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills, particularly for navigating multifaceted considerations in AI/ML, Automation, Finance, business specializations, and international study pathways.Adept at storytelling and influential communication, essential for motivating senior professionals to future-proof their careers amid rapid technological change.Industry, Function & Global InsightExtensive familiarity with cutting-edge fields—Data Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI—alongside crucial business functions (Strategy, Finance, Marketing, Supply Chain) and the career trajectories they enable.Capable of illustrating the strategic value of international credentials (e.g., Golden Gate University) and guiding learners through crucial considerations like visa procedures, full-time vs. part-time formats, and ROI analyses.Technical ProficiencySkilled in CRM platforms and experienced in LinkedIn Sales Navigator or equivalent tools for lead generation and pipeline management.Quick to learn emerging
