Job Description

Sales HRBP Essential Skills :

1. HR & Business Partnering Skills

  • Strong understanding of HR processes (recruitment, onboarding, PMS, L&D, HR ops).
  • Ability to act as a strategic partner to the Sales leadership.
  • Business acumen to understand sales cycles, KPIs, and revenue impact.
  • Policy implementation and change management.

2. Recruitment & Workforce Planning

  • Expertise in hiring for sales roles (TSE, ASM, RSM, Field Executives).
  • Manpower planning based on business expansion and sales targets.
  • Experience handling bulk hiring and field-level sourcing.

3. Performance Management

  • Understanding of sales performance metrics and productivity tracking.
  • Capability to work with managers on KPI setting, target reviews, and PIP.
  • Incentive and variable pay understanding.

4. Analytical & Reporting Skills

  • Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills (MIS, dashboards, pivot tables).
  • Ability to interpret sales data and provide insights.
  • HR analytics: attrition analysis, productivity analysis, cost analysis.

5. Employee Engagement & Relations

  • Ability to connect with field sales staff across regions.
  • Conflict resolution and grievance handling.
  • Conduct engagement initiatives tailored for sales roles.
  • Strong listening and empathy skills.

6. Training & Capability Development

  • Identifying training needs for sales teams.
  • Coordinating sales capability and product training.
  • Assessing training effectiveness.

7. Communication & Interpersonal Skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to influence and build relationships with sales managers.
  • Stakeholder management across regions.

8. Travel Flexibility

  • Comfort with regular field visits and travel.
  • Ability to understand on-ground challenges and provide HR support.

9. Tools & Systems

  • HRMS / ATS handling
  • Excel/Sheets
  • MIS reporting
  • CRM/sales reporting tools (added advantage)

Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management
  • Strong understanding of sales processes, KPIs, and field dynamics
  • Data-driven mindset with strong Excel/HRMS skills
  • Problem-solving and conflict resolution
  • Ability to manage large field teams across regions
  • High adaptability and willingness to travel

Education

  • MBA/PGDM in Human Resources
  • Additional certification in HR analytics / talent management (preferred).
