Sales Engineer – Industrial Instrumentation (Field Sales, Mumbai)

Compensation:
₹30,000 – ₹45,000 per month (based on experience) + performance-based incentivesQuarterly and annual performance bonuses applicable

About the Role

We are looking for a Sales Engineer – Industrial Instrumentation to strengthen our Mumbai sales operations. This role involves direct customer interaction, regular field visits, technical discussions, and closing value-based sales in industrial environments.

The position suits candidates who enjoy technical selling, independent field work, and building long-term customer relationships, with strong back-end support from our internal team and OEM principals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow assigned industrial customer accounts through regular field visits across Mumbai and nearby industrial areas.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in manufacturing, R&D, power, and process industries.
  • Generate leads through site visits, cold outreach, referrals, and professional networking.
  • Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations, and application discussions with engineers and decision-makers.
  • Handle inbound customer inquiries and prepare technical and commercial quotations.
  • Follow up on offers and drive closures to meet monthly and quarterly sales targets.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and OEMs for pricing, technical clarifications, and delivery schedules.
  • Maintain visit reports, CRM updates, sales forecasts, and activity records.

What Success Looks Like in This Role

  • Achieving consistent sales targets within the first 6–9 months.
  • Building repeat business and strong customer relationships.
  • Independently handling technical discussions and order closures.

Candidate Requirements

  • Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Experience: 1–5 years of B2B technical sales experience in industrial instrumentation or similar engineering products.
  • Technical Exposure: Sensors, probes, calibration equipment, and industrial measurement solutions.
  • Skills: Good communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel regularly within Mumbai and surrounding industrial locations.
