Sales Engineer

2. Key Responsibilities

Sales & Lead Generation

  • Visit customers in the assigned territory and promote products.
  • Generate leads, follow up on enquiries, and convert them into orders.
  • Support negotiation and closing of sales deals.
  • Achieve assigned sales targets.

Customer & Dealer Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with OEMs, panel builders, system integrators, dealers, and distributors.
  • Support dealers/distributors with product information, pricing, and order coordination.
  • Follow up on quotations, orders, deliveries, and payment collection.
  • Address customer queries and provide timely support.

Technical Support

  • Clearly explain product features, applications, and benefits.
  • Conduct basic technical presentations and product demonstrations.
  • Coordinate with internal technical teams for customized solutions when required.

Market Activities & Reporting

  • Identify new business opportunities, segments, and untapped markets.
  • Share market updates, customer requirements, and competitor information.
  • Update visit reports, CRM entries, and maintain all sales documentation.

Internal Coordination

  • Collaborate with engineering, production, logistics, and finance teams for smooth order execution.
  • Ensure timely dispatch, delivery, and payment follow-up.

Travel

  • Frequent travel within the assigned region for customer visits and business development activities.

3. Skills & Competencies

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Basic technical understanding of electrical/electronic components.
  • Good presentation, persuasion, and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to learn product features and explain them effectively to customers.
  • Self-driven, disciplined, and comfortable with field sales.
  • Familiarity with MS Office and CRM tools (added advantage).
  • Time management and customer-handling skills.
