Job Description Sales Assistant (Pune Region)
Position: Sales Assistant
Location: Pune & surrounding areas
Department: Sales & Business Development
Reporting To: Regional Sales Manager / Business Development Head
Role Overview:
The Sales Assistant will support Ooms Indias business development initiatives by making initial contact with potential clients, understanding their requirements, and ensuring smooth coordination with the senior sales team. The role involves proactive outreach, requirement gathering, and assisting in building a sales pipeline in and around Pune.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and approach potential customers in infrastructure, construction, and related industries within Pune and nearby regions.
Make initial contact (calls, visits, emails) with prospective clients and introduce Ooms Indias products and solutions.
Gather client requirements, pain points, and project details for further evaluation.
Maintain a structured lead database and update CRM with accurate information.
Support the senior sales team in scheduling client meetings, preparing basic presentations, and sharing product literature.
Provide timely feedback from the market on competitor activities, customer needs, and emerging opportunities.
Assist in preparing quotations, tender documentation support, and follow-ups as required.
Coordinate with the operations/technical team to align client requirements with available solutions.
Ensure professional representation of the company at all times during field visits.
Qualifications & Skills:
Graduate in Business Administration / Marketing / Civil Engineering diploma(preferred but not mandatory).
1–2 years of experience in sales support, customer-facing roles, or business development. Freshers with good communication skills may also apply.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (English, Hindi, and Marathi preferred).
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Ability to travel locally within Pune and nearby industrial/construction sites.
Self-motivated, disciplined, and eager to learn about construction materials and road technology solutions.
