Job Description Sales Account Executive (IT Sales Web & Mobile)

Role Summary & Key Objectives

Sales Account Executive

Key Objectives:

  • Generate qualified leads and convert them into long-term business opportunities.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets through consultative selling of IT services (Web & Mobile).
  • Build and nurture strong client relationships to drive account growth and retention.
  • Collaborate with delivery, pre-sales, and technical teams to design tailored solutions for clients.

Core Responsibilities

  1. Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities in

    Web & Mobile application development services

    .
  2. Develop and execute account strategies to achieve sales quotas and revenue targets.
  3. Conduct client meetings, presentations, and solution demonstrations to decision-makers.
  4. Collaborate with internal teams (pre-sales, delivery, marketing) to create winning proposals and RFP responses.
  5. Maintain accurate sales pipeline, forecasting, and reporting in CRM tools.
  6. Manage existing accounts, ensuring client satisfaction and upselling/cross-selling additional services.
  7. Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies to strengthen sales positioning.

Must-Have Skills (Technical & Soft)

Technical / Domain Knowledge:

  • Strong experience in

    selling IT services

    , specifically

    Web & Mobile application

    development.
  • Understanding of

    SDLC, Agile delivery models, and IT solutioning basics

    .
  • Proficiency in

    CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho CRM)

    for pipeline and account management.
  • Knowledge of

    proposal writing, RFP processes, and pricing models

    in IT sales.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Results-oriented with a track record of achieving or exceeding sales quotas.
  • Ability to work independently with high ownership and accountability.
  • Strong business acumen and consultative selling approach.

Good-to-Have Skills

  • Experience selling into

    international markets (US, Europe, APAC)

  • Exposure to

    digital transformation, cloud, AI/ML, and enterprise solutions

  • Knowledge of

    account-based selling (ABS)

    and advanced sales methodologies (Challenger, SPIN, MEDDIC).
  • Prior experience in

    startup or fast-growth IT environments

  • Networking ability in relevant IT/tech industry forums.

Experience Requirements

  • 4 to 8 years

    of proven sales/account management experience in IT services.
  • Demonstrated success in closing deals in

    Web & Mobile solutions

  • Experience managing mid-market or enterprise clients preferred.

  • New business revenue generated

    (quarterly/annual sales quota attainment).
  • Number of new accounts acquired

    within target segments.
  • Pipeline coverage ratio

    and sales forecasting accuracy.
