Strategic Safety Leadership

• Setting SAFETY Objectives: Develop and implement comprehensive SAFETY objectives aligned with organizational goals as per Corporate Guidelines and DH Safety.
• Performance Management: Monitor SAFETY performance through regular SAFETY and Fire Safety audits, inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions on project sites and occupied buildings, and key performance indicators.
• Collaborate with project teams (Project Managers, Engineers, Supervisors and other stakeholders) to integrate safety considerations into all phases of project planning, design, and execution and to ensure safety is a top priority.
• Foster a strong safety culture by promoting a positive, proactive work environment that prioritizes safety and health.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable SAFETY regulations and standards, including fire safety codes and standards.
• Emergency Response: Lead the development and implementation of emergency response plans, including fire emergency plans, conduct regular drills, and coordinate with local emergency services at the provided section.
• Proactive Safety Culture: Foster a strong safety culture through initiatives like safety suggestion schemes, behavioural-based safety programs, and regular safety communication.
  

Operational Excellence

• Hazard Identification and Fire/ Safety Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough hazard identification and risk assessments, including comprehensive Fire Risk Assessments, to identify potential fire and other hazards and implement control measures. This includes identifying fire hazards, assessing their likelihood and potential consequences, and developing mitigation strategies.
• Accident Investigation and Analysis: Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, including fire incidents, to identify root causes and implement and preventive actions to prevent recurrence. Share Lessons learned with the project teams.
• HIRA and IMS: Develop and review HIRAs and contribute to the development and implementation of the Integrated Management System.
• Safety Guidelines: Stay abreast of all applicable safety regulations, standards, and guidelines, including local, state, and national requirements.
  

Process Development

• Task forces and Sub Committees: To guide and facilitate provided Safety Task forces and Sub committees of Plant to involve the line function in the safety system development. Validating SAQ (Self-Assessment Questionnaires) filled up by teams in jurisdiction.
• Advisory Role: Provide expert advice on SAFETY matters, including fire safety, accident investigation and SME Development of Taskforces.
• Emergency Preparedness: Develop and implement emergency response plans, including fire emergency plans, safety awareness campaigns and conduct regular drills to reinforce safety messages and promote safe work practices.
• Training and Development: Identify training needs, develop and conduct comprehensive training programs on OHSE topics, including fire safety training, and implement behavior-based safety initiatives for all project personnel, including site workers, contractors, and management.
• Digital Solutions: Partnering in digitization initiatives
  

Compliance

• Monitoring through regular inspection to ensure Legal Compliance as per PESO (Petroleum & Explosive Safety Organization) norms, Factories Act & Rules 1948, Gas Cylinder Rules 2018, Electricity Act Rules 2003, SMPV (Static & Mobile Pressure Vessel) Rules 2016in areas under their jurisdiction.
• Monitoring compliances with respect to quality, safety and environment certifications (IMS) in the area under jurisdiction Implementing all necessary measures to achieve 100% statutory compliance with respect to prevention of occupational health hazards.
  

Customer centricity

• Participate & collaborate with 5 AET & SET’s Members meeting and sharing the safety insides and overview performance each level.
• Assist Vertical Head to review the overall safety improvements.
• Partnering with PBU Heads to implement the safety aspect in Both Operation and Project areas.
  

People development and engagement

• Ensuring optimum deployment and productivity of manpower including Safety Stewards (08 Nos)
• Monitoring manpower performance and identifying Skill development action need.
• Monitoring training of team members to enhance technical competencies, improve Behavioural effectiveness and embed a culture of safety and energy conservation
• Improving employee engagement through mass TBT, NSW, Different Programs.
• Technical Competencies
  

• Degree in Engineering (Mech, Elec, Process, Chemical, Metallurgy)
• Diploma in Industrial Safety from any RLI/CLI or State board of technical education.
• Understanding of analytical tools (Tap root, Fish bone, HAZOP, PHA etc.)
• Experience in Heavy Industries & Manufacturing (Construction, Steel, Aluminum, copper, cement, Petro Chemical, Oil & Gas industries etc.)
• Knowledge of Safety Standard, Factories Rules,
• Knowledge of Process Safety, construction Safety, Contractor Safety Management.
• Knowledge in PPT, Excel, Documentation
• Present & interpersonal & Presentation Skill
• Experience in Factory inspectorate directives monitoring & compliance
