Job Description Summary:

Itron DEM (Distributed Energy Management) is the industry’s leading provider of integrated cloud-based demand response, energy efficiency and customer engagement solution. It allows us to control networked devices (such as air conditioning, electric work machines etc.) to manage and better match supply and demand in peak periods. You would be joining the international DEM team, with members in Denver and Budapest, working with the DEM Development team in an agile methodology. You would be focusing on developing and maintaining a large Ruby-on-Rails application and multiple Ruby and Elixir based microservices running on Docker.

Purpose

·        We are looking for a motivated senior software developer who is interested in working on a variety of technologies in an open standard platform environment.

·        We are building massively scalable networks to support Smart Cities initiatives. Successful candidates will work with Elixir applications in a production environment that also includes Azure Cloud Computing technologies.

·        Future projects include converging Itron’s top technologies into one cutting-edge solution to power Smart Cities around the world. The result of their work will directly impact the reduction of energy usage globally which will build a more resourceful world.
