Full Stack Ruby Web Developer

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop Web Applications: Build and maintain scalable web applications using Ruby on Rails and other front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).

- Database Management: Design and integrate databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) to effectively store and manage application data.

- API Development: Create and maintain RESTful APIs for internal and external integrations.

- Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other developers to gather requirements and implement solutions.

- Code Review: Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.

- Testing and Debugging: Conduct unit and integration testing, troubleshoot issues, and debug applications as necessary.

- Optimize Performance: Improve application performance and reliability through testing, optimization, and refactoring.

- Stay Updated: Keep up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies related to Ruby and full-stack development.

Qualifications:

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

- Experience: Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer focusing on Ruby on Rails.

- Front-end Skills: Proficiency in front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React or Vue.js).

- Back-end Skills: Strong knowledge of Ruby on Rails, RESTful APIs, and server-side development.

- Database Skills: Experience with SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB is a plus).

- Version Control: Familiarity with version control systems, especially Git.

- Problem Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

- Knowledge of DevOps practices and experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, etc.).

- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools (Jira, Trello).

- Understanding of web security best practices.
