The Role

Robotics / Senior Robotics Engineer

You will:

• Take ownership of robotics subsystems
• Mentor engineers
• Scale autonomy stacks from simulation to real-world deployment
• Work cross-functionally with hardware, embedded, and systems teams

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

• Design and implement autonomy modules (navigation, control, perception, SLAM, etc.)
• Lead system-level integration with sensors, embedded systems, and marine vehicle control systems
• Establish best practices in ROS2 development, simulation testing, and CI/CD pipelines
• Define and execute testing and validation strategies using simulation and field trials

Product Development

• Develop scalable, reliable code in

  C++ and Python

  for marine robotics platforms
• Guide simulator development (Gazebo, Unity Sim) for accurate marine dynamics and sensor behavior
• Troubleshoot and debug across software-hardware interfaces during trials

Team & Project Management

• Mentor and support junior engineers in robotics, controls, and perception
• Collaborate with program managers on milestones, deliverables, and deployments
• Document and present technical findings to internal and external stakeholders

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s/Master’s in Robotics, Mechatronics, Electronics, Computer Science, or related field
• 2+ years of robotics software development (field robotics or autonomous vehicles preferred)
• Strong coding skills in

  C++ and Python

• Experience working with UAVs, AGVs, underwater robots, or any mobile robotics
• Hands-on expertise in

  ROS2, Gazebo/Unity Sim, and Linux

• Solid understanding of control theory, SLAM, sensor fusion, and kinematics
• Experience integrating sensors (IMU, GPS, LiDAR, sonar, etc.)
• Proven experience in deploying robotics systems from lab to field

Good to Have

• Background in marine or underwater robotics
• Experience with safety-critical systems or defense technologies
