Job Description

Role Overview: You will be responsible for the development and deployment of robotic automation solutions, including programming, system integration, and testing. Your duties will involve applications for megaprojects and construction industries, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions on time. You will report at the Bechtel India Chennai Office to the Robotics In-charge. Key Responsibilities: - Receive technical and administrative supervision from the Robotics Lead and project leads - Provide technical direction to drafters, technicians, or interns performing design support assignments - Maintain regular contact with the immediate project team and interface with other disciplines such as mechanical, electrical, and quality engineering - Engage with leading system houses and robotics suppliers to support integration efforts - Collaborate with academic institutions and leading universities for research partnerships and innovation opportunities in robotics - Program and configure industrial robots for construction applications - Support system integration including mechanical, electrical, and software subsystems - Assist in the design and implementation of control systems and electrical panels - Apply principles of machine learning to improve process efficiency - Troubleshoot robotic applications and provide process optimization support - Review technical documentation and ensure compliance with safety standards - Coordinate assigned work with other technical personnel as directed - Prepare technical reports, manuals, and training documentation - Foster a work environment built on teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement - Travel to system integrators during the concept checking period and then travel to the Bechtel job sites after the maturity of the use case is attained for deployment and commissioning Qualification Required: - Requires a 4-year bachelor's degree in Engineering in Robotics, Mechatronics, Electrical, Electronics, or Automation or an M. Tech with specialization in Robotics or Artificial Intelligence from a reputed institute - 3-8 years of experience in robotics engineering, industrial automation, or related fields - Proficiency in robot programming languages like C++, Python, JAVA, MATLAB for algorithm development and simulation - Expertise in Robot Operating System (ROS) such as control, perception, planning, localization, SLAM, reinforcement learning, and SWARM Intelligence - Familiarity with automation applications, PLCs, and control systems - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills - Ability to work in teams and good communication skills - Ability to think laterally, developing new applications and solutions to increase efficiency at work sites (Note: The additional details of the company were not present in the provided job description) Role Overview: You will be responsible for the development and deployment of robotic automation solutions, including programming, system integration, and testing.
