We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Robot Programmer to lead robotic programming, commissioning, and integration projects across major automotive manufacturing systems. You will work with cutting-edge robotics platforms including KUKA, ABB, FANUC, Kawasaki, Yaskawa, and Comau, delivering high-performance automation solutions to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and execute robot programming for automotive applications such as spot welding, MIG welding, sealing, painting, and material handling.
Develop, simulate, and optimize robot paths and programs using manufacturer-specific tools and offline programming software.
Perform on-site robot teaching, cycle time optimization, and troubleshooting during project commissioning.
Integrate robotics systems with PLCs, vision systems, safety devices, and other peripheral automation equipment.
Provide technical leadership during project execution, guiding junior programmers and technicians.
Collaborate with project managers, mechanical designers, and control engineers to ensure smooth project delivery.
Prepare detailed documentation, program backups, standard operating procedures, and training materials for clients.
Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards throughout the programming and commissioning process.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechatronics, Robotics, Electrical, or related engineering field.
Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in industrial robot programming.
In-depth experience with KUKA, ABB, FANUC, Kawasaki, Yaskawa, and Comau robot platforms.
Proficiency in robot programming tools such as KUKA WorkVisual, ABB RobotStudio, FANUC Roboguide, Kawasaki K-Roset, etc.
Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols and safety standards (e.g., ProfiNet, Ethernet/IP, SafeMove, etc.).
Experience integrating robots with PLCs (Siemens, Allen-Bradley) and HMIs.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
Ability and willingness to travel to client sites for installation and commissioning.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in the automotive manufacturing sector.
Familiarity with digital twin and Industry 4.0 solutions.
Exposure to collaborative robots (cobots) and vision-guided robotics.
