Main Accountabilities:
- Responsible for on site robot debugging including robot system commission, functional program module writing, process debugging and problem handling
- Troubleshooting and fixing hardware issues of ABB and Kawasaki robots
- Manage and monitor project during execution period until FAC
- Achieving process parameters, body quality and line cycle time for BiW lines including spot welding, sealant dispensing, roller hemming, material handling and vision application
- Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings
- Vision system measurement and maintenance and ability to complete new model introduction robot simulation independently
- Familiar with mechanical principles, electrical components and circuit diagrams
- Manage supplier resources to deliver line buy off KPIs
Challenges:
- Travel about 70 percent
- Site work 90 percent
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- Strong experience with ABB robots
- Knowledge and experience in Kawasaki robots preferred
- Experience with BiW lines in Auto OEMs and Tier1s
- Good technical presentation and communication skills
- Experience on robot simulation software like Robot Studio and Process Simulate
- Exposure to Autocad, Catia, Solidworks
Candidate Background:
- BE or Diploma in Mechanical, Mechatronics or Production Engineering
- Minimum 4 to 8 years of working experience
- Self starter and team player
- Exposure of working with automotive customers is an advantage
- Experience within a similar role in the automation industry desirable
- Willingness to travel for commissioning and work in shifts
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in MS Office programs required Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint
- Experience in spot welding, MIG welding, material handling, sealing, palletizing, roller hemming applications
- Robot IO setup
- Devicenet, Ethernet, Profinet network protocol setup
- Electrical troubleshooting in robot based automation cells
- Write and modify robot programs according to company standards
- Simulate robot systems
- Commission and integrate robots locally and at customer sites
- Support customers and resolve issues in the field

- Generate robot safety configurations

- Support virtual commissioning team during debug phase

- Interface with design and simulation teams to communicate and create solutions
- Manage industrial processes and robotic application for automation projects
