Job Description

The SAP IT Project Manager will lead and deliver complex, interrelated projects within a programme, ensuring alignment with business objectives and operational plans. This role spans the full project lifecycle, from initiation through transition to business-as-usual and ongoing maintenance, while driving digital transformation initiatives.
You will ensure business requirements are accurately translated into actionable plans, manage change control, and oversee scope, costs, timelines, interdependencies, and risks, taking corrective action when deviations occur.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Delivery

  • Define, document, and execute project plans across all phases.
  • Ensure formal project closure and capture lessons learned.
  • Provide effective leadership and coaching to project team members.

Planning & Execution

  • Develop and maintain realistic project plans, including quality, risk, and communication strategies.
  • Set clear goals and work packages for team members.
  • Monitor costs, timelines, and resources, taking action when tolerances are exceeded.
  • Keep project documentation and deliverables (presentations, reports, communications) up to date.

Risk & Stakeholder Management

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks to project success.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and maintain transparent communication.
  • Develop and implement an internal communication strategy for all relevant stakeholders.

Governance & Compliance

  • Apply Group standards, instructions, and reporting requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and organisational values.
  • Continuously update working methods and documentation.

Strategic Contribution

  • Support the development of business requirement statements.
  • Drive impactful, transformational projects aligned with the company s digitalisation journey.
Your Profile

Education & Certification

  • University degree.
  • Project Management certification (PMI or PRINCE2 Foundation).

Professional Experience

  • Minimum 5 years proven experience in Project Management.
  • Demonstrated success in leading application and/or infrastructure projects.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP implementation projects (mandatory).

  • Proficiency in management reporting (benchmarks, metrics, dashboards).
  • Excellent organisational, time management, and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.

Further Skills

  • Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel skills.
  • English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
