Job Description

Role Overview: As a Retail Business Development Manager, your primary responsibility will be to acquire and develop retail business through team efforts and relationships. You will be in charge of ensuring the achievement of top and bottom-line numbers and budgets for the zone. Drawing budgets, formulating strategies to control acquisition costs, and focusing on tie-ups with intermediaries for critical alliances at the zonal/regional level will be crucial aspects of your role. Key Responsibilities: - Drive channel sales and take ownership of its overall performance, including profitability and budget achievement. - Assist operational managers in their sales initiatives by coordinating support from the head office. - Collaborate with various departments within the company to streamline operational procedures for faster closure of sales-related matters. - Have a thorough understanding of the market, competition practices, and provide regular feedback to top management for strategic planning. - Ensure compliance with the company's underwriting and operational procedures to meet desired objectives. - Guide the team regularly by providing performance feedback (applicable for professionals with teams). - Conduct monthly reviews and analysis with the CEO/Director. Qualification Required: - Must be a go-getter with an assertive attitude. - Capable of working with both offline and online policies. - Reporting to Channel Head/Sales Head based on location. - Advanced knowledge of retail insurances, especially health and life. - Exposure to SMEs and large corporates would be advantageous. - Minimum 4 to 6 years of relevant experience for Sr. Manager role. - Experience in leading teams in insurance retail sales is mandatory. - Minimum education requirement: Graduate.,
