Job Description

Role Summary:

Relationship Manager



Key Responsibilities:

  • Distribution Acquisition & Onboarding:

  • Identify, onboard, and nurture strategic relationships with distribution partners including Private Wealth firms, Banks, National Distributors, RIAs, and IFAs to drive AIF product placements.
  • Partner Relationship Management:

  • Build long-term, trust-based partnerships with key relationship managers, product heads, and investment advisors within distribution networks.
  • Channel Enablement & Training:

  • Conduct regular product training, joint client calls, and knowledge sessions to deepen distributor engagement and ensure accurate representation of AIF offerings.
  • Fund Promotion & Sales Strategy:

  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop targeted sales campaigns and outreach plans customized for each distributor channel.
  • Pipeline Management:

  • Maintain an active deal pipeline through CRM tools, track engagement metrics, and report progress on AUM targets, channel contributions, and conversion rates.
  • Market Intelligence:

  • Monitor regulatory changes, competitor activity, and market trends to refine distribution strategies and identify white spaces.



Key Requirements:

  • Experience:

  • 8–10 years in AMC, AIF, or Wealth Management with strong exposure to distribution-led fundraising.
  • Distribution Network:

  • Established relationships with Banks, Private Wealth platforms, RIAs, and top-tier IFAs across key Indian metros.
  • Investment Acumen:

  • Sound knowledge of AIF structures (Cat I/II/III), PMS, mutual funds, and structured products.
  • Analytical Mindset:

  • Ability to analyze distributor profile, market penetration, and latest trends to drive strategy and results.
  • Communication & Influence:

  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with an ability to inspire confidence across senior stakeholders.
  • Educational Qualifications:

  • MBA (Finance) / CFA / CA preferred.
  • Certifications:

  • NISM-Series V-A (Mutual Fund Distributors) and AIF Certification (or ability to acquire within 3 months).

  • Proven ability to scale AIF distribution channels from early-stage or launch phase
  • Entrepreneurial, self-motivated, and highly outcome-oriented
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment
  • Understanding of product and operational workflows in alternative investments
