Regional Operations Manager

• Manage all customer / vendors in his region
• Negotiate third party contracts and rates with vendors
• Manage customer escalation and respond quickly with RCA and action plan
• Ensure all shipments are compliant with interstate traffic laws and regulations
• Respond to shipping complaints, lost items, and damages
• Review and analyze budgets, expenditures, and operations
• Determine needs for expansion of location and warehouse size / team size
• Supervise and manage regional operation team
• Provide leadership to help team develop skills and meet goals
• Develop and manage operational and customer KPIs
• Develop and document standard operating procedures
• Analyze financial impact of logistics changes, routing, shipping modes, warehouse optimization etc
• Design, assess, and implement new strategies and initiatives
• Collaborate with other departments to integrate operations with company processes
• Train, coach, and evaluate operational team
• Maintain good work environment, lead by the example
• Ensure 5S and 3R are maintained in warehouse
• Ensure space is utilised properly and documented MOM
• Ensure there is no variance in stock / no debit from customer
• Ensure to provide management reports as and when required
• Ensure proper cycle count is done and documented along with audit reports
• Ensure cost is kept under control and cost saving measures are taken every month

Logistics Manager Requirements

• Bachelors degree in supply chain, transportation, logistics, business, or related field; masters degree preferred
• Previous experience as a manager, supervisor, coordinator, or relevant position
• Experience in industry procedures, costs, and terms
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong project management skills with ability to supervise multiple projects
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
