Tesla is looking for a Regional Finance Lead/Company Secretary in our Finance department to join a busy, rapidly expanding team, focusing on the support of the region's functions. The standard of employees at Tesla is extremely high and we have a powerful commitment to recruitment.As a Company Secretary, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Company Secretary to join our Delhi office. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of relevant experience and must hold a valid Practicing Certificate from ICSI. The role involves ensuring statutory and regulatory compliance, managing board and general meetings, advising on corporate governance, and liaising with regulatory authorities.Responsibilities
1 . Finance
Monitor daily accounting operations, responsible for full set of accounts and statutory accounting for the IndiaPlan and Implement business process and policy with company strategies. Re-engineer/ improve the existing financial reporting mechanism to increase efficiency as well as effectiveness. Assisting in preparing monthly financial reports, developing and/or utilizing spreadsheets, databases and other computer applications. Conduct accounting audits in accordance with regulatory standardsPartner cross-functional operational teams (e.g. payroll, tax, treasury, revenue and cost accounting) to establish controls that ensure data accuracy and complianceSecure financial transactions with validating supporting under company policy and internal control Maintain financial records in both digitalization and physical documentation in an organized mannerAbility to analyse accounting trends and communicate them to teamsOther financial and/or accounting related tasks are to be performed as assignedOversee compliance with the local tax regulation, including GST, withholding, and corporate taxAbility to multi-task, prioritize and execute in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentOther financial and/or accounting related tasks are to be performed as assigned. Company SecretaryEnsure compliance with Companies Act, 2013 and other applicable corporate laws.Convene and manage Board Meetings, Committee Meetings, and General Meetings including preparation of agenda, notices, and minutes.Maintain statutory registers and records as per legal requirements.File timely returns with the Registrar of Companies (ROC), MCA, RBI, and other regulatory bodies.Draft and vet resolutions, agreements, policies, and other legal documents.Handle secretarial audits and prepare related reports as required under law.Liaise with internal stakeholders, statutory auditors, regulators, and external legal counsel.Provide expert advice on company structuring, mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate matters.Ensure effective implementation of corporate governance practices.Support senior management in handling investor relations and shareholder meetings.
Requirements
University degree holder At least 5 years of related work experience, audit experience will be required for FinanceMinimum 5 years of relevant experience in a corporate or consulting for company secretaryQualified Company Secretary with valid Practicing Certificate from ICSI

Strong knowledge of Companies Act, SEBI Regulations, FEMA, and other allied laws.Excellent drafting, communication, and analytical skills.Experience handling compliance for listed (preferred) or large private companies.Proficient in MCA21 portal and other regulatory platforms.High attention to detail, integrity, and ability to handle confidential matters.Accuracy and an eye for detail is essential for this position Highly organized and good time managementAble to work independently with efficiency and able to meet tight deadlineYou will need to have a flexible approach to work and a 'can do' attitude. Able to operate effectively in and comfortable working in a very fast moving, developing and constantly changing company Intelligent, tenacious, creative and able to be assertive whilst maintaining a positive and team focused approach. Excellent Speaking and written ability (English and local language) is required.
Preferred Attributes:
CPA (or CPA candidate) preferredExposure to secretarial compliance in listed companies or MNCs.Familiarity with RBI, SEBI, and FEMA compliance will be an added advantage.Experience in handling legal or arbitration matters is a plus.
