Job Description

As a Regional Finance Lead/Company Secretary at Tesla, you will play a crucial role in the finance department by ensuring the support of the region's functions. Your responsibilities will include monitoring daily accounting operations, planning and implementing business processes and policies, preparing financial reports, conducting accounting audits, maintaining financial records, overseeing compliance with local tax regulations, and ensuring the company's financial transactions are secure. Additionally, as a Company Secretary, you will be responsible for ensuring statutory and regulatory compliance, managing board and general meetings, advising on corporate governance, liaising with regulatory authorities, and providing expert advice on company structuring, mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate matters. **Key Responsibilities:** - Monitor daily accounting operations and responsible for full set of accounts and statutory accounting for India - Plan and implement business processes and policies aligned with company strategies - Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and conducting accounting audits - Maintain financial records in both digitalization and physical documentation - Oversee compliance with local tax regulations including GST, withholding, and corporate tax - Ensure compliance with Companies Act, 2013 and other applicable corporate laws - Convene and manage Board Meetings, Committee Meetings, and General Meetings - File timely returns with regulatory bodies and draft legal documents - Handle secretarial audits and provide expert advice on corporate governance practices **Qualifications Required:** - University degree holder - Minimum 5 years of related work experience for Finance; audit experience required - Minimum 5 years of relevant experience for Company Secretary - Qualified Company Secretary with a valid Practicing Certificate from ICSI - Strong knowledge of Companies Act, SEBI Regulations, FEMA, and other allied laws - Excellent drafting, communication, and analytical skills - High attention to detail, integrity, and ability to handle confidential matters - Highly organized with good time management skills - Able to work independently, meet tight deadlines, and maintain a flexible "can do" attitude - Excellent speaking and written ability in English and local language In addition to the specific job role, Tesla is a rapidly expanding company with aggressive growth plans.
