Mission Statement
As the R&D Department Manager for TC south Asia at Hitachi Energy India, you will be responsible for managing the development of new HV products for High Voltage Circuit Breakers and Switchgear in collaboration with other technology centers of Hitachi Energy globally. You will play a pivotal role in developing a competent and skilled team that is equipped to develop and introduce new HV products in the product portfolio.
Your Responsibilities
- Product Development: Identify projects for new product development needs with product management and technology managers. Develop & drive strategic plans for the implementation of project to reach the right products within cost, budgets and time. Collaborate with Global Product Management and Technology Management to ensure proper product tech. requirements, project and cost.
- Responsibility for developing a strong team(s) that are highly skilled and develop and retain them. Develop resources in areas like design, simulations, project management and testing. Encourage R&D teams to drive product innovation, development, and enhancement initiatives.
- Collaboration with global TC team: Collaborate with global experts and other TC projects managers to manage cross TC projects to reach the desired goals.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including operations, quality, SCM, product management to ensure seamless execution of projects and seamless introduction into production.
- Regulatory Compliance stay abreast of regulatory requirements and standards relevant to high voltage products and ensure compliance in product design and development.

Your Background
- A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics Engineering with relevant experience.
- Minimum 5 to 6 years of professional work experience.
- Sound interpersonal skills.
- Working knowledge of SAP MM / PP Module.
- Strong Follow up and Expedite Materials skills.
- Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
