Role Overview

Quality Assurance Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the

  Quality Assurance & Control

  processes for LT power, control, and instrumentation cables.
• Implement, monitor, and improve

  quality management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 17025)

  .
• Ensure compliance with

  IS, IEC, BS

  and other relevant international standards.
• Conduct

  routine, acceptance, and type tests

  on LT cables, including:
• High Voltage Tests
• Insulation Resistance Tests
• Conductor Resistance Tests
• Partial Discharge & Loss Factor Measurements
• Prepare and maintain

  test certificates, calibration reports, and quality documentation

  .
• Manage

  customer inspections, audits, and certifications

  (BIS, NABL, CPRI, ERDA, CTL).
• Lead

  root cause analysis

  and resolve customer complaints through corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Drive

  cost optimization, process improvements, and statistical process control (SPC)

  in QA/QC functions.
• Train and mentor QA/QC teams on best practices, testing procedures, and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with R&D/Design teams for

  new product development

  and validation.
• Ensure

  safety compliance

  in QA/QC laboratories and testing operations.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of

  cable testing (LT, MV, HV up to 220 kV)

  and related quality parameters.
• Expertise in

  IMS, ISO standards, sustainability reporting (GHG, LCA, EPD)

  .
• Proficiency in

  statistical analysis, SPC tools, and Six Sigma methodology

  .
• Skilled in handling

  customer and third-party audits

  .
• Strong documentation, reporting, and analytical skills.
• Team leadership, training, and cross-functional communication.

Qualifications

• Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in Science/Engineering (preferably Physics/Electrical).

• Six Sigma Black Belt / Green Belt certification

  preferred.
• Lead Auditor certification in ISO 9001:2015 will be an added advantage.
• 12–18 years of experience in

  QA/QC of cables (EHV/MV/LT)

  , with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
