Quality Head - Machine Shop

Key Responsibilities:

• Achieve Quality KPI’s • Develop and Maintain robust quality management system on shop floor in line with IATF requirements. • Implement corrective and Preventive action to address quality issues and drive quality improvements. • Handling customer complaints and submit 8D report within defined timeline to customer. • Drive robust root cause analysis for non-conformance parts. • Plan and conduct internal quality audits as per IATF requirements. • Conduct Product & Process audits. • Collaborate with purchase team to establish supplier quality standards, plan and conduct supplier audits. • Ensure purchase parts are meeting the quality requirements. • Conduct MRM as per frequency. • Identify and mitigate QMS risks. • Identify the continuous improvement activities and drive it. • Awareness/OJT to operator, inspectors in case of customer complaint. Put One Point Lesson on Gemba. • Ensure right first-time new product development. • Liaison between third party audit & customer audits. • Arrange supplier trainings on problem solving, 8D, Control plans, etc. • Update and maintain visual display board.

Key Skills & Competencies

:  Strong knowledge of machining processes – including tooling, cycle time optimization, defect analysis, and part dimensional control.  Hands-on experience with quality tools, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and Control Plans.  Excellent understanding of GD&T, engineering drawings, and measurement instruments like CMM, Roundness tester, hardness testers, etc.  Experience working with OEMs / Tier-1 customers.  Strong leadership, presentation and communication skills to manage cross-functional teams and handle customer interactions.  Proficient in using ERP systems and quality software/tools.  Strong technical knowledge of VMC/CNC machines & tooling  Hands-on experience in troubleshooting quality issues.  Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and 5S practices.  Certified Internal Auditor of IATF 16949:2015, Certified Lead Auditor is added advantage.  Comprehensive knowledge MS Office package.

Education & Experience:

 Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Production Engineering.  Experience : 8-10 years in Machine shop or similar industry
