Job Description

Evident Laser Auto Pvt. Ltd. is a fast-growing OEM supplier in sheet metal fabricated components, elevator & escalator parts, and wiring harness assemblies. We are looking for a Quality Engineer to ensure product quality, process compliance, and customer satisfaction as per domestic and international standards.

Key Roles & ResponsibilitiesQuality Assurance & Control

• Ensure incoming, in-process, and final inspection of sheet metal fabricated parts, laser-cut components, bending, welding, and assemblies.
• Prepare and maintain Inspection Plans, Control Plans, and Quality Checklists.
• Conduct First Article Inspection (FAI) and PPAP / APQP activities where applicable.
• Ensure dimensional and visual inspections as per drawings, BOM, and customer specifications.

Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain quality records such as Inspection Reports, Calibration Records, NCRs, CAPA, and Quality Logs.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 / IATF (if applicable) and customer quality requirements.
• Handle Customer Quality Documents, including IMIR, FAI, PSW, and related submissions.

Customer & Supplier Quality

• Address customer complaints, prepare root cause analysis (RCA) using 5-Why / Fishbone, and implement corrective & preventive actions.
• Coordinate with suppliers for supplier quality issues, audits, and corrective actions.
• Support customer audits and third-party audits.

Process Improvement

• Monitor manufacturing processes to reduce rejection, rework, and wastage.
• Support continuous improvement (Kaizen) initiatives and cost-reduction activities.
• Work closely with Production, Purchase, and NPD teams for quality improvement.

Measurement & Calibration

• Ensure proper use and periodic calibration of measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, gauges, etc.
• Maintain gauge calibration schedules and records.

Qualifications & Skills Required

• Diploma / BE / BTech in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering
• 2–5 years of experience in sheet metal / fabrication / OEM manufacturing
• Good knowledge of engineering drawings, GD&T, inspection tools
• Familiar with ISO quality systems and documentation
• Basic knowledge of MS Excel, ERP, and quality reporting
• Good communication and coordination skills

Preferred Experience

• Experience in elevator & escalator components / automotive / industrial OEMs
• Exposure to export quality standards and international customers
