Our vision is to become the #1 destination for Japanese readers to discover and purchase books and manga, both in print and digital formats. We build scalable, high-performance solutions enhanced by modern technologies, including generative AI. Our team creates the best book shopping, buying, and reading experience across all devices while working closely with global central teams.

The Role

As a Quality Assurance Engineer II, you'll lead the quality assurance efforts for complex distributed systems that power book discovery and purchasing. You'll design and implement comprehensive test strategies, develop automated testing frameworks, and collaborate with development teams to ensure high-quality deliverables. This role involves both technical leadership and hands-on testing, requiring you to mentor junior QA engineers while maintaining high quality standards across our platforms.Key job responsibilities5+ years of software quality assurance experience3+ years in test automation developmentStrong programming experience in at least one language (Java, Python, JavaScript)Experience with test automation frameworks and tools (Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, etc.)Experience in API testing and tools (Postman, REST-assured, etc.)Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices

Basic Qualifications

4+ years of quality assurance engineering experience
Experience in manual testing
Experience in automation testing
Experience scripting or coding
Experience as QA lead on medium to large sized projects

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with at least one automated test framework like Selenium or Appium
Experience in gathering test requirements to create detailed test plans and defining quality metrics to measure product quality
