Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

We are looking for an experienced QA Automation Engineer to join our team and help establish a comprehensive testing strategy for our React and React Native applications. As our QA Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated testing frameworks for both web and mobile platforms. You will play a crucial role in transitioning our testing approach from manual to automated, ensuring high-quality releases while accelerating our development cycle. A commitment to quality, continuous improvement, and collaborative problem-solving is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement comprehensive automated testing strategies for React web applications and React Native mobile apps.
• Develop and maintain robust test automation frameworks using industry-standard tools and practices.
• Create automated test suites covering unit, integration, API, and end-to-end testing scenarios.
• Establish CI/CD pipeline integration for automated testing to ensure continuous quality assurance.
• Collaborate with development teams to implement testing best practices and shift-left testing approaches.
• Mentor team members on testing methodologies and help establish a quality-first culture.
• Design and execute performance, load, and stress testing for web and mobile applications.
• Create and maintain test documentation, test plans, and quality metrics reporting.
• Identify, document, and track defects while working closely with developers for resolution.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in test automation and quality assurance.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 4+ years of experience in QA automation with at least 2 years focused on React/React Native applications.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript for test automation.
• Hands-on experience with React testing frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library, and Enzyme.
• Experience with mobile testing frameworks like Detox, Appium, or similar for React Native apps.
• Proficiency with end-to-end testing tools such as Cypress, Playwright, or Selenium WebDriver.
• Experience with API testing tools like Postman, REST Assured, or similar.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integration with testing frameworks (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.).
• Experience with performance testing tools and methodologies.
• Knowledge of test management tools and bug tracking systems (Jira, TestRail, etc.).
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and agile development methodologies.
• Experience with mobile app testing on both iOS and Android platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative, remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud testing platforms (BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, AWS Device Farm).
• Knowledge of accessibility testing and tools.
• Experience with security testing for web and mobile applications.
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and test environment management.
• Experience in building testing strategies from scratch in startup environments.
