Job Summary

QA SDET Automation Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain

  scalable, reusable, and efficient test automation frameworks

  using Java and Selenium.
• Develop

  UI, API, and integration automation test suites

  using tools like Selenium WebDriver, RestAssured, TestNG/JUnit, and Maven/Gradle.
• Implement automation for

  regression, smoke, functional, and end-to-end testing

  .
• Collaborate with developers and QA analysts to

  identify test scenarios

  , improve test coverage, and ensure product quality.
• Integrate automated scripts into

  CI/CD pipelines

  using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Perform

  root cause analysis

  for test failures and work with dev teams to resolve issues.
• Create

  test plans, test cases, and test data

  aligned to requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Work closely with product owners and developers to ensure clarity on user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Identify gaps in existing automation and drive enhancements to improve speed, reliability, and maintainability.
• Contribute to performance, security, and compatibility testing as needed.
• Maintain strong documentation for automation frameworks, test results, and testing processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as an

  SDET / QA Automation Engineer

  .
• Strong proficiency in

  Java

  (OOPs, Collections, Streams, Exception Handling).
• Hands-on experience with

  Selenium WebDriver

  , TestNG/JUnit, Maven/Gradle.
• Experience in

  API automation

  using RestAssured, Postman, or similar tools.
• Knowledge of

  CI/CD tools

  such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Experience working in

  Agile/Scrum development environments

  .
• Strong understanding of

  software testing practices

  , SDLC, STLC, and testing strategies.
• Experience using version control systems like

  Git

  and code review tools.
• Familiarity with test design techniques (equivalence partitioning, BVA, decision tables).
• Experience with

  XPath, CSS selectors

  , and identifying dynamic web elements.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

Good to Have (Optional)

• Experience with

  BDD frameworks

  such as Cucumber or Serenity.
• Exposure to

  Docker

• Experience in

  mobile automation

• Knowledge of
