ob Description Job Description: Software Engineering – Senior Quality Engineer JOB SUMMARY We are seeking an experienced senior quality engineer with 8+ years of professional experience to work with our engineering team. The ideal candidate should have relevant work experience in manual, automation and performance testing. This role is responsible for ensuring quality of the releases in SmartFM product. SmartFM is an advanced facility management platform designed to ingest data from multiple sources, process it efficiently, and provide a unified view of operational matrices. With built-in AI/ML algorithms, the platform offers analytics-driven insights, raises alerts and alarms, and recommends actions to optimize building operations. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES · Expertise in development and implementation of core features in Automation Framework using Selenium, ACCELQ or Cucumber/SpecFlow · Collaborate with the Engineering team throughout the product development lifecycle to ensure alignment with end-user product and quality expectations, as well as adherence to delivery timelines. · Establish test strategy for manual and automated test suites. · Create test Cases, test scripts and test data from user stories and ensure new functionality meets acceptance Criteria. · Automate functional testing for existing and new applications. · Conduct security and performance testing. · Develop database scripts as required to complete testing. · Document defects and help clarify details. · Analyze test results and track software testing metrics. · Collaborate with product and implementation teams in resolving defects and improve the quality of the product · Coordinate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to achieve project alignment. · Engage closely with clients on strategic projects, building lasting partnerships and delivering cutting-edge technical solutions tailored to their needs. REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE • Proven track record as a quality engineer with 8+ years of experience in agile ecosystem. • Expertise in at least one programming language like Java, C# • Expertise with automation tool like Selenium, ACCELQ, Cucumber/SpecFlow. • Experience of at least one database such as Postgresql / Oracle • Experience of security and performance testing. • Experience in using Version Control Tools like TFS, GitHub, VSTS, GitLab, Bitbucket • Good to have experience in working on DevOps/Agile operations process and tools area (Unit test automation, Code coverage, Build and Release automation, Environment, Service, Incident and Change Management) • Track record of successfully delivering in a fast-paced agile project environment. • Expertise with engineering principles, software development processes, and system integration techniques ADDITIONAL SKILLS • Communication: Exceptional communication skills to engage with stakeholders, clients, and senior leadership effectively. • Conflict Resolution: Skillful at removing impediments, resolving conflicts, and maintaining team focus and productivity. • Highly motivated to acquire new skills, explore emerging technologies, and stay updated on the latest trends in software development and business needs. • Collaboration: Strong skills in fostering cross-functional teamwork and aligning goals with stakeholders. • Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS / EXPERIENCE • Bachelors (BE / BTech) / Masters degree (MS/MTech) in computer science, information systems, mathematics or related field Show more Show less
