Introduction

India Systems Development Lab (ISDL) is part of IBM Systems world-wide technology development lab. Established in 1996, the Lab is headquartered in India's Silicon Valley and startup hub - Bengaluru, with a strong presence in Pune and Hyderabad. Developers at ISDL deliver technology innovations across the entire Systems portfolio - z Systems, Power / OpenPOWER Systems and Storage. The team here works across the entire stack from processor design, firmware, operating system to software defined storage. The lab also focuses on innovations, thanks to the creative energies of the teams. The lab has contributed over 400+ patents in cutting edge technologies and inventions so far.While computing veers towards cognitive, cloud, mobile, social, and security, the lab has significantly contributed to not just new products focused in these areas, but has also ushered in new development models such as Agile, Design Thinking and DevOps.

Your Role And Responsibilities

As a Automation QA Engineer, you will:
  • Be a part of the Software testing team for data protection application.
  • Understand the product, existing automation framework, new requirements and changes in the Release
  • Automation of the existing product functionality / test cases.
  • Create automation test plans, automate the testcases, fix the issues in existing automation,
  • Integrating the automation with CI/CD pipeline
  • Understand and run the existing test suites for releases.
  • Identify the issues as Product/Infra.
  • Raising the defects. Collaborating with developers as well as Support teams.

Bachelor's Degree

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

  • Primary Skills: Strong automation skills in Java/Python/Selenium/Perl
  • 2+ years of Programming knowledge of: Java/Python/Selenium/Perl
  • Storage Skills: Basic knowledge of Virtualization/Containerization/Cloud
  • Applications: Good to have skills about databases like MSSQL/Oracle and different Filesystems.
  • Operating System: Good understanding of Operating systems like Unix(RHEL/AIX/SLES)/Windows
  • Testing Methodology: Understanding of Agile world of software development.
  • Tools: Test management tool
  • Miscellaneous: Good verbal and written communication skills, team player, Self-driven, Quick learner, self-motivated and collaborative.

  • Domain knowledge in Data protection and Storage space
  • Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes/OpenShift
  • Familiarity with GitHub, Jira, Jenkins
