Job Description

Role Summary.


Lead the quality engine at our Rabale food-processing plant and own food safety, QC lab operations, supplier assurance, etc. Protect consumers and brand trust through robust food-safety systems. Experience with supplier audits, lab accreditation exposure, and customer complaint resolution while turning compliance into measurable business advantage.


Education

B.Sc/BE in Food Technology, Microbiology, Dairy/Applied Sciences, or equivalent.


Experience.

6+ years in QA/QC within food processing or FMCG with 2–3 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.


Technical Skills

Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, microbiology, shelf-life testing, sensory evaluation, packaging/label compliance, environmental monitoring, etc.


Data-driven, decisive, root-cause thinker who prioritizes prevention over firefighting and champions continuous improvement. Clear, confident communicator in English and Marathi or Hindi; able to present findings to shopfloor teams and senior leadership. Hands-on, collaborative shopfloor culture that values practical solutions, safety, and frontline innovation; close partnership with cross-functional teams. Regular General shift, with on-call responsibility for critical incidents; occasional weekend support for audits or recalls.


Key Responsibilities


Pilot rapid testing, shelf-life studies, and process controls that reduce rejects and accelerate new products.

 Implement and maintain HACCP, allergen control, traceability systems, etc.

 Manage QC lab functions, microbiology, chemistry, sensory panels, SOPs, and calibration.

 Design sampling plans, in-process checks, and finished-product release criteria.

 Lead supplier audits, incoming material controls, and supplier development.

 Own customer complaints, RCA, CAPA, mock recalls, and audit readiness.

 Train shopfloor teams and embed a quality-first culture.


KPIs and Success Measures

 Reduction in customer complaints and returns.

 Microbiological pass rates and first-pass quality for finished goods.

 Timely CAPA closure and audit readiness.

 Supplier quality score improvement and lower incoming rejections.  Complaint closure cycle time and mock recall preparedness.
