Job Description

We are seeking a QA Lead who is passionate about quality and experienced in leading QA efforts in a fast-paced development environment. You will work closely with developers and product teams to ensure high-quality releases, lead the QA team, and set up a strong culture of quality-first development. This is a hands-on role requiring both leadership and deep technical QA skills, including backend testing and MySQL expertise.

Responsibilities

Lead the end-to-end QA process across multiple software development teams.
Define and drive QA strategy, including manual testing, regression testing, integration testing, smoke testing, and backend testing.
Design, maintain, and execute test cases across APIs, databases, and UI's.
Work closely with developers to proactively identify issues and build a quality-oriented culture.
Ensure thorough regression testing is conducted before every release.
Use MySQL for validating backend data, running queries, and verifying complex test scenarios.
Select and manage appropriate testing tools and frameworks.
Mentor QA engineers and review their test plans and execution strategies.
Implement or support test automation efforts and integrate into CI/CD pipelines.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in software QA, with 2+ years in a QA leadership role.
Strong command of MySQL for backend data validation and test design.
Experience in testing web-based applications, REST APIs, and microservices.
Deep understanding of regression, integration, and system testing.
Familiarity with QA tools like Jira, TestRail, Postman, BrowserStack, etc.
Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar.
Experience collaborating with developers in Agile/Scrum environments.
