Job Overview

We are looking for a QA Lead with strong expertise in API automation, manual testing, and API testing to lead our quality assurance initiatives. The ideal candidate should have a solid background in designing and implementing test strategies, hands-on experience in API automation frameworks, and the ability to guide a team to deliver high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of QA engineers to ensure the delivery of high-quality software.
• Drive the creation and execution of test strategies, test plans, and test cases for manual and automated testing.
• Perform end-to-end API testing — including designing, developing, and executing automated API test scripts.
• Ensure functional, regression, integration, and system testing are carried out effectively.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Build, maintain, and enhance API automation frameworks (e.g., Rest Assured, Postman, Karate, Cypress).
• Use bug tracking and test management tools like JIRA, Zephyr, or TestRail to log, manage, and track defects.
• Conduct root cause analysis for defects and ensure preventive measures are implemented.
• Mentor and guide junior team members to enhance their technical and testing skills.
• Continuously improve QA processes, tools, and techniques for better quality and efficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 8+ years of total QA experience, with at least 4+ years in a lead role.
• Strong hands-on experience in API testing using tools like Postman, Swagger, or Rest Assured.
• Proven expertise in API automation frameworks (Rest Assured, Karate, Postman/Newman, or similar).
• Solid understanding of manual testing concepts including functional, regression, smoke, and integration testing.
• Experience in creating and managing test plans, test cases, and test reports.
• Good knowledge of web technologies, databases (SQL/NoSQL), and backend testing.
• Hands-on experience with bug tracking and test management tools (JIRA, Bugzilla, Zephyr, TestRail, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and continuous integration processes.
• Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities to collaborate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating API test automation with DevOps tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of performance testing tools like JMeter or Gatling.
• Exposure to cloud-based testing environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹1,543,830.30 - ₹2,283,581.36 per year
