QA Engineer

Job Summary: We are looking for a QA Tester to assess software quality through manual and automated testing. You will be responsible for finding and reporting bugs and glitches. You will also be responsible for designing and implementing tests, debugging and defining corrective actions. You will also review system requirements and track quality assurance metrics.

Education Required: B.Tech/B.E. in Computers, BCA, BSC-IT. PG: MCA in Computers, MS/M.Sc (Computer Science)

Key Responsibilities:

• Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
• Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
• Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
• Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools
• Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
• Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing projects to meet client needs
• Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and project managers) to identify system requirements
• Monitor debugging process results
• Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions
• Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts.
• Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies

Must-Have Skills:

• Proven work experience in software development industry
• Proven experience in manual software testing methodologies and techniques.
• Familiarity with various testing types such as functional, integration, regression, and usability testing
• Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
• Proficiency in using testing tools and defect tracking systems (e.g., Jira, TestRail, HP Quality Center).
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process

Good-to-Have Skills:

• Relevant certifications in quality assurance (ISTQB, CSTE, etc.)
• Understanding of specific domains like healthcare, finance, e-commerce, etc., depending on the industry the organization operates in.
• Familiarity with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner for assessing system performance under various conditions.
• Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
