Job Title: Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer -III

Position Summary
The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of software quality across the development lifecycle. This role requires strong expertise in manual testing, automation testing using Cypress, API testing, and performance testing. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proactive approach, a high level of commitment, and strong attention to detail, contributing to the delivery of reliable, high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Quality Assurance & Test Execution, Develop detailed test plans, test scenarios, and test cases based on business and technical requirements.
- Execute manual testing for functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing cycles.
- Identify, document, and track defects through closure, ensuring thorough validation.
- Ensure complete test coverage and adherence to established QA processes and standards.
- Automation Engineering
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Cypress.
- Enhance and optimize automation frameworks to improve efficiency and coverage.
- Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines and ensure consistent execution.
- API & Performance Testing
- Conduct comprehensive API testing using industry-standard tools (e.g., Postman, RestAssured).
- Perform performance and load testing using relevant tools such as JMeter or Gatling.
- Analyze performance test results and collaborate with stakeholders to resolve bottlenecks.
- Collaboration & Process Improvement
- Work closely with Product, Development, and DevOps teams to support high-quality releases.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, requirement reviews, and design discussions.
- Recommend improvements to QA processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance productivity and quality.
- Provide mentorship to junior QA team members when required.
Technical Skills
Required Qualifications & Skills
- 8–10 years of hands-on experience in software testing.
- Strong proficiency in manual testing across various application types.
- Practical experience in automation testing using Cypress.
- Solid understanding of API testing principles and tooling.
- Experience with performance testing tools and methodologies.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab).
- Strong knowledge of software development and QA methodologies (Agile/Scrum).
- Proficiency in version control systems such as Git.
