QA Automation Engineer

Job Title : Automation QA Engineer – Selenium & Katalon Experience : 2 to 3 years Employment Type : Full-time About the Role We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Automation QA Engineer with hands-on experience in Selenium and ideally Katalon Studio to join our product development QA team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring high product quality through automated testing frameworks, test scripts, and QA process improvements across web and mobile applications. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable automation test scripts using Selenium WebDriver . Preferably use Katalon Studio to design modular, data-driven test cases. Perform regression, functional, integration, and performance testing for product releases. Develop and manage test frameworks and tools to automate test execution and reporting. Work closely with developers, product owners, and other QA engineers to understand requirements and develop test plans. Identify test coverage gaps and ensure end-to-end automation coverage. Debug test failures, isolate bugs, and report defects with reproducible steps. Participate in Agile/Scrum processes including sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives. Provide timely feedback on product quality, performance, and usability issues. Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 2+ years of experience in automation testing with Selenium WebDriver . Experience working with Katalon Studio is a strong plus . Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks like TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber, etc. Proficiency in one or more scripting/programming languages (Java, Groovy, Python, etc.). Solid understanding of QA methodologies, life cycle, and processes. Experience with REST API testing (using Postman, SoapUI, or Katalon API testing). Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate in a cross-functional team environment. Nice to Have Knowledge of mobile automation tools like Appium. Experience with performance/load testing tools like JMeter or Gatling. Exposure to cloud-based test environments (e.g., BrowserStack, Sauce Labs). ISTQB certification or similar QA credentials.
