Role Description

Senior Python Developer

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain components of a large-scale cloud-based application built on microservices architecture.
• Contribute to frontend development using React or similar frameworks when needed.
• Own and maintain system components built using Python (with a strong focus on Flask), Java, JavaScript, and Go.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code along with unit and integration tests.
• Integrate and manage third-party APIs with a focus on security and scalability.
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines and deploy to cloud environments, especially AWS.
• Implement effective logging, monitoring, and alerting systems.
• Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and other agile development practices.

Qualifications and Skill:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in Python development with mandatory experience in Flask.

• Proficiency in Python and frameworks such as

  Flask (required)

  and Django (optional).
• Strong understanding of front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and caching mechanisms like Redis.
• Familiarity with Celery for task queues and background job processing.
• Hands-on experience with Elasticsearch, Git, and API integrations.
• Proficient in cloud services, especially AWS.
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices architecture.
• Experience with logging and monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, ELK Stack).
• Background in system design and handling large-scale applications.
• Experience working with SaaS platforms is an added advantage.
• Comfortable working in Agile environments with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
